One area I often see people struggle with is money.
You may be working hard, setting financial goals, trying manifestation techniques, and taking action — yet still feel like something is holding you back.
Maybe money comes in but doesn’t stay.
Maybe you feel anxious whenever you think about finances.
Maybe you find it difficult to ask for more money, charge what you are worth, or confidently receive opportunities.
Or perhaps you simply have a feeling that “I am doing everything, but my money situation is still stuck.”
If this sounds familiar, it may be helpful to look beyond your external circumstances and explore your emotional relationship with money.
One simple practice you can explore is Ho’oponopono.

What Is Ho’oponopono?

Ho’oponopono is a Hawaiian practice traditionally associated with reconciliation, forgiveness, and restoring harmony.
A commonly used modern practice focuses on four phrases:
I’m sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
I love you.
When used as a personal reflection practice, these words can help you become more aware of thoughts, emotions, memories, and beliefs that may be creating stress around money.
The intention is not to magically make money appear.
Instead, the practice can help you reflect, release emotional weight, and create a more conscious relationship with money.
Why Do You Feel Stuck With Money?
Money beliefs often begin much earlier than we realize.
Growing up, you may have repeatedly heard statements such as:
- “Money is very difficult to earn.”
- “Rich people are greedy.”
- “We can’t afford that.”
- “You have to work extremely hard to make money.”
- “Money doesn’t grow on trees.”
Repeated messages can influence how we think about earning, receiving, spending, saving, and managing money.
You may consciously want financial abundance while still carrying fear, guilt, or limiting beliefs around having more.
This can create an internal conflict:
You want abundance, but part of you may still feel uncomfortable receiving it.
Try This Simple Ho’oponopono Money Practice

Take a few quiet minutes for yourself.
Sit comfortably, take a few deep breaths, and bring your attention to your current relationship with money.
Think about the financial situation that is creating the strongest emotional reaction for you right now.
It could be:
- Debt
- Income
- Business
- Salary
- Expenses
- Savings
- Fear of not having enough
Now gently repeat the four Ho’oponopono phrases.
“I’m sorry.”
Acknowledge any fear, stress, guilt, or limiting beliefs you may have carried around money.
You don’t need to judge yourself.
Simply become aware.
“Please forgive me.”
Allow yourself to release self-blame for past financial decisions or mistakes.
You are allowed to learn.
You are allowed to grow.
You are allowed to create a different relationship with money.
“Thank you.”
Bring your attention to the money and resources that have already supported you.
Think about the food you have eaten, the home you have lived in, the experiences you have enjoyed, and the opportunities money has helped create.
Gratitude can help shift your attention toward appreciation for what is already present.
“I love you.”
Send compassion toward yourself and your financial journey.
You don’t have to be financially perfect to work toward abundance.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin.
You can choose to approach money with greater awareness, responsibility, and confidence.
Repeat these four phrases slowly for a few minutes.
Allow the practice to become a moment of reflection rather than trying to force yourself to feel a particular emotion.
What Happens When You Release Money Fear?
Releasing emotional resistance does not mean ignoring practical financial responsibilities.
You still need to budget, plan, earn, save, invest appropriately, and make informed financial decisions.
However, when you constantly operate from fear, your financial decisions can become reactive.
You may:
- Avoid looking at your finances.
- Undercharge for your work.
- Feel uncomfortable receiving money.
- Spend impulsively for emotional relief.
- Constantly compare your financial situation with others.
- Feel guilty whenever you spend money.
- Believe that earning more money always requires more struggle.
Becoming aware of these patterns gives you an opportunity to pause and choose your next action more consciously.
Your Money Story Can Change
One powerful question to ask yourself is:
“What did I learn about money growing up?”
Write down the first thoughts that come to mind.
Then ask yourself:
“Do I still choose to believe these things today?”
You don’t have to reject everything you learned.
Instead, become more conscious about the beliefs you want to carry forward.
For example:
Old belief: “Money is always difficult to earn.”
New perspective: “I can learn new ways to create value, increase my income, and manage money responsibly.”
Old belief: “I don’t deserve to charge more.”
New perspective: “I can confidently communicate the value of my work and receive fair compensation.”
This is where manifestation can become more than simply thinking positive thoughts.
It can involve awareness, belief work, emotional alignment, and practical action.
A 5-Minute Daily Money Ho’oponopono Ritual

Try this simple practice for the next few days.
Step 1: Take 3 deep breaths.
Step 2: Identify one money-related fear or limiting thought.
Step 3: Slowly repeat:
I’m sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
I love you.
Step 4: Write one empowering belief you choose to practice.
Step 5: Take one practical action toward your financial goal.
That action could be following up with a client, reviewing your expenses, learning a new skill, applying for an opportunity, creating an offer, or organizing your finances.
Small actions can create momentum.
Remember: You Are Not Your Money Situation
A temporary financial challenge does not define your worth.
A past financial mistake does not define your future.
And feeling stuck today doesn’t mean you will always feel stuck.
Start by becoming aware of the emotional story you have been carrying.
Release what no longer serves you.
Choose beliefs that support your growth.
And then take practical action.
Your Money Affirmation
“I release fear, guilt, and limiting beliefs around money. I choose to create a healthy, empowered, and abundant relationship with money.”
If you’ve been feeling stuck with money, start today with just five quiet minutes.
Sometimes, creating change begins with changing the conversation you are having within yourself.
Final Thought
Money transformation begins from within. When you become aware of your money beliefs, release emotional resistance, and take aligned practical action, you create space for a healthier relationship with abundance.
